Electric reactor plays an impedance role in a circuit which is a hollow coil without magnetic material used in the power networks. Electric reactor can be arranged in three kinds of assembly form, vertical, horizontal and character shaped according to requirement. When a power system is in short circuited condition, a large short circuit current will be generated. If it is not restricted, it is very difficult to maintain the dynamic stability and thermal stability of the electrical equipment. Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of some circuit breaker interrupting capacity, it often has electric reactor in the circuit breaker to increase the short-circuit impedance and limit short-circuit current. Due to the adoption of a reactor, when the short circuit occurs, the voltage on the reactor falls larger amount. So reactor also plays a role in maintaining the bus voltage level to make less voltage fluctuation on the bus which ensures the stability of the operation of the user's electrical equipment on the non-fault line.
